DNS Tools is a great website for troubleshooting DNS related issues. While nearly any standard SSH or Telnet server will provide these tools, DNSTools.com offers them in one location within your browser.

CentOS is an open-source, free alternative to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The server hosting this site is currently run on CentOS.

Joomla is the most common and well supported Content Management System (CMS) on the Internet. It's written in PHP, and it can simplify most site maintenance tasks.

PHP is a client side programming language and free alternative to Microsoft's ASP. You can download the parser on their website. When combined with Linux, Apache, and MySQL, it's commonly referred to as a L.A.M.P. environment.

Eclipse is an open-source, free integrated development environment (IDE) for Java. It does an outstanding job reducing development time with tag completion, object templates, and continuous compilation error checking. Modules are available for C++ and PHP as well.
